  1. Law firms should be better equipped to take more post grad law students on to their Trainee Contractships. My daughter has worked so hard to achieve her 2.1 law degree yet l(ike many of her friends ) cannot secure a TC. It is disheartening for her and as a parent i feel utterly useless in the offering of good advice. Despite not coming from an affulent background i have encouraged and supported her continually and will support her financially in obtaining her LPC , ( due to my continual of saving religiously over the past four yrs), working full time and regular overtime in my nursing duties to secure monies for her working future. I now feel despondent too not just because she is my daughter who wants to achieve but because i know she is so passionate about a carreeer in law and has been since the age of 13! Here is a young adult who will work tirelessly if only given the chance. She would be a benifit to any law firm as her ethos is always to strive to be the best… so why are law firms not giving these youmng people a chance ?? a truely disheartened parent . I felt i had to express my concerns somewhere !
