Pass rates 2007/8
QED LAW has published information about the pass rates on the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) / Common Professional Examination (CPE), Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Bar Vocational Course (BVC) at each of the course providers. The GDL and LPC tables show the percentage of students awarded a ‘distinction’, ‘commendation’ or pass at the first attempt. The equivalent BVC classifications are ‘outstanding’, ‘very competent’ and ‘competent’. In addition the percentage failing / failing to complete the course at the first attempt is given.

I heard wolverhampton university is a easy to pass the LPC instituation than compare to other LPC universities in England. is this true ot false please expand your answer. Thank YOU!
Imram,
You’ve heard wrong. Also, your whole way of thinking on this matter is wrong. The SRA regulates the standard of the LPC, wherever it is offered. It’s not easy, so prepare to work hard wherever you decide to do it. And work on your command of the English language as well. It’s not up to scratch, and I don’t say this to be mean, but purely as constructive criticism to one who aspires to become a solicitor.
Frank I am a 38 year old male who’s been offered a place on an LLB course for this year. I do not possess traditional A-levels; I however completed the OU’s Diploma level Understanding Law. Will my prospects of success be very limited even if i were to put myself through the LLB degree in addition to the post solicitor qualifications? I will be around 45 when in the job market where my peers will be younger candidates.
Thanks

I am looking at doing a 1 year full time GDL course in Sept 2012, which is the best institution in London too undertake my studies, and who has the best pass rates.
