PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS INFORMATION…
Materials
1. Please remember to bring – either in hard copy or electronically – (1) the materials AND (2) your invoice.
2. Hard copies of the materials will not be provided.
3. The materials were sent by email. If the email did not arrive in your inbox please contact me: nbaird@qedlaw.co.uk
4. The materials provided are for your personal use and must not be distributed or made available to others.
Recording, use of phone and laptops.
Out of respect for the lecturer and other participants…
- Recording of the seminar by you is not permitted.
- All mobile phones must be switched off and out of view during the seminars. There will be breaks to allow you to catch up on messages and make calls.
- Laptop users are requested to sit on the window side of the lecture theatre and to type with consideration for others attending. The collective sound of many fingers tapping can be distracting to those listening to the lecture. To avoid the need for trailing cables please ensure your laptop is fully charged before you arrive.
Food and drink
1. The UCL cafeteria will be open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. It is located in the Octagon building to the left of the Portico.
2. When it is closed the nearest places for tea/coffee etc are on Tottenham Court Road or the canteen on the ground floor of UC Hospital – the modern tall white building with green windows at the top of Gower Street about 200 metres from UCL.
How to get there
1. UCL is a large campus. To avoid getting lost you should access the campus from the Gower Street entrance. See the MAP
2. If you have not previously attended a QED Law revision seminar and are not familiar with UCL I recommend that you print the maps and this message and bring them with you.
UCL is one of the largest colleges in London but every year there are normally one or two students who have difficulty seeing it. Make it easy by bringing BOTH maps…
The MAPS are at qedlaw.co.uk/rooms2016
If you get lost return to the gates and ask for information from the porter’s lodge.
Access to the Pearson Building and Lecture Theatre
1. After passing through the gates and the porter’s lodge the PEARSON building is immediately on your left. To enter the building walk along the path around the building. The entrance is at the corner next to the entrance to the Slade School of Art. The PEARSON lecture theatre is on the ground floor.
2. The lecture theatre can be chilly early in the morning and later in the evening so you may like to wear something warm that you can remove.
Looking forward to seeing you at the weekend.
