QED LAW

Woody Allen started as a script writer for The Ed Sullivan show and then, aged 26,  debuted in the Duplex, Greenwich Village as a stand up comedian. Wrote for popular 60’s tv programme, Candid Camera before becoming playwright, screenplay writer, actor and director.

Legal Practice Course (LPC) providers were asked for the following information in respect of years 1997/8 and 2007/8:

(a) The total number of the students enrolled on the university’s full time LPC;
(b) The number awarded a ‘pass’ at the first attempt;
(c) The number awarded a ‘distinction’ at the first attempt;
(d) The number awarded a ‘commendation’ at the first attempt;
(e) The number failing / failing to complete the course at the first attempt.

Based on the information provided, the table below shows, as a percentage of the total awards, the awards for each class in the years indicated.

Please note that the figures relate to the first exam attempts and so the fail/failed to complete figures includes all students who, for any reason, did not complete at the first attempt. It may include those entitled to resit some or all of their exams at a later sitting and awaiting reassessment. It may also include those who withdrew from the course without taking the examinations.
